When you need to remove a lot of stock off a part, fast, you may choose to have it Blanchard ground. Think of it as a rough-in process, or a first step. The advantage of having Blanchard grinding capabilities on site is the ability to remove a lot of raw stock quickly off of one large piece, or a lot of smaller pieces all at once. Using a CNC Machine, or a Surface Grinder to remove the same amount of stock would take a lot longer, and in the end, cost the customer more for their parts.
