Quite often, our CNC programmers will need to make specialized fixtures in order to form your parts to the best accuracy of a print. The fixture holds the part securely in the CNC machine so it won’t move during the process. Sometimes a program may include many cutting axes to process a part out of the raw material and form it to the required print specifications. Having the ability to keep the part securely in the machine for most, if not all, of the cnc turning and/or milling process allows for a precision end-product. Multiple parts can be processed at the same accuracy by using a fixture.
North Central Machine has had a long history of making various sized fixtures for customers over the years. By adding a fixture, companies who make automated machines that process the same part over and over again can speed up the production of machined parts without losing the accuracy or precision of the finished product.
